From 1 January 2015 the new Lithuanian Law on Cyber Security defining the organization of a cyber security system, its management and control, has entered into force.
The Law designates authorities responsible for the development and implementation of cyber security policies and sets their competences, functions, rights and obligations.
The Law on Cyber Security also sets obligations, responsibilities and requirements for cyber security measures which should be taken by managers and (or) administrators of State information resources, managers of critical information infrastructure, providers of public communications networks, or publicly available electronic communications services and electronic information hosting service providers.
