Jean-Daniel Aussel is Chair of the eID Wallet Task Force at GlobalPlatform since 2022, and previously served as GlobalPlatform Security Task Force Co-Chair between 2015 and 2017. A longstanding active participant in standardization, he has contributed to several standard organizations for different market segments related to security. President of the Java Card Forum since 2020, Jean-Daniel graduated from McGill University in Montreal and the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering. Jean -Daniel is working at Thales Cybersecurity & Digital Identity, where he drives the standardization strategy.

From 2000-2012 he was leading Ericsson’s global standardisation operations. He has also served in leading positions in several industry associations such as 3GPP, 5GAA, ERTICO and the Horizon Europe CCAM Association.

Sid is Policy Manager for Cybersecurity, Digital Infrastructure & Mobility at DIGITALEUROPE. In this role, he contributes to policy discussions on cybersecurity and the resilience of Europe’s critical infrastructure. His work covers major regulatory initiatives such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the NIS2 Directive, whilst maintaining a broader view cutting across various topics such as digital infrastructure, next-generation connectivity and mobility. He also is a liaison for DIGITALEUROPE to ENISA’s Stakeholder Cybersecurity Certification Group (SCCG) and the European Commission’s CRA Expert Group, as well as for its partnership with CEN-CENELEC, sitting in the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) 13 on Cybersecurity and Data Protection. Before joining DIGITALEUROPE, Sid gained experience at Bosch, working for its Corporate Communications & Government Affairs Benelux department. He holds a BA in European Studies and is currently pursuing an MSc in Politics & Technology at the Technical University of Munich.

Christiane Kirketerp de Viron is the acting director for Digital Society, Trust and Cybersecurity at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) since July 2024. The directorate spans a wide range of areas related to cybersecurity, digital health and digital identity. In 2022 she became the Head of Unit for cybersecurity and digital privacy policy with responsibilities for critical infrastructure resilience, product security, cyber defence and international cooperation in the field for cybersecurity. Between 2019 and 2022, she was Member of Cabinet to the Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn where her portfolio included the digital transformation and cybersecurity of the EU institutions, Bodies and Agencies as well as political advice related to Research and Innovation, Digital policies, Education, Space and Defence. Prior to this, she was a Cabinet member of the Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carols Moedas. Christiane is a political scientist from the University of Copenhagen and joined the Commission in 2006.

Ms Cinzia Missiroli holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a specialisation on European Affairs, and several certificates in EU external relations, policies, and strategic management. She began her career in 2006 at CEN as a Programme Manager handling Consumer products, Nanotechnologies, and Accessibility. In 2012, she was appointed Head of the ‘Sustainability and Services’ Unit, covering both CEN and CENELEC work programmes. In 2017 she became Director of Standardization of CEN and CENELEC, taking up a multifaceted role, encompassing management and analytical functions to ensure the quality delivery of European Standards. Since 2025, she has also served as Deputy Director General, aiding in the strategic objectives and managing specific operations activities alongside the Director General.

Stéfane is an international Senior Expert in digital identities, cybersecurity, EU legislation and standards in the digital world and General Manager of the European Biometrics and Digital Identities Evaluation Laboratory: CLR Labs – La Ciotat. Florian Pennings works for ENISA as the Associate Chief Cybersecurity and Operational Officer. Previously, he worked at Microsoft as the Director for EU Cybersecurity Policy engaging with the government agencies and ministries in the EU working on cybersecurity. At Microsoft he contributed to discussions concerning EU cybersecurity policy and emerging technologies like AI, using his operational and strategic national and European experience. Before that he worked at Dutch National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) where he coordinated strategic and tactical cooperation with industry and public stakeholders.

Mr. Remy has been active in international standardization for almost 30 years. He has been active in a very broad variety of roles, which has allowed him to work with the standardization community from different angles. As such he has experience both in standardization expert roles as well as several leadership roles. He has also been active for several years in standardization management roles at national, European and international level.

After a PhD on Cryptography at INRIA Rocquencourt/Paris, and two years of Post-Doc at Aalto University Finland, Andrea Röck started working in 2011 on digital signatures at Universign, Paris. During her time at Universign, she became an active member of the ESI (Electronic Signatures and Infrastructures) technical committee of ETSI. She was also several years the technical chair of the Cloud Signature Consortium (CSC) working on the technical specifications describing the CSC protocol. In 2022 she changed to the French National Cyber Security Agency (ANSSI). In this position she participates in ETSI ESI and CEN work linked to eIDAS. Since 2024 she is the vice-chair of ETSI TC ESI.

Kia Slæbæk Jensen is the Cyber Attaché at the Danish Permanent Representation to the EU with over six years of cybersecurity policy experience. Kia specialises in cybersecurity preparedness, legislation and international collaboration, and has been closely involved in the negotiation of major EU cybersecurity initiatives including the NIS2-directive, the Cyber Resilience Act and the Cyber Solidarity Act. Prior to joining the Danish Permanent Representation, Kia led the work regarding EU issues and collaboration at the Danish Centre for Cyber Security. With a M.Sc. in Security Risk Management form Copenhagen University, she is passionate about the relationship between technology and security – and how both can improve each other. Especially within the field of cybersecurity.

Dr. Joanna Świątkowska is the Deputy Secretary General at the European Cyber Security Organisation - ECSO. She is also a member of the Research Council at NASK (Polish National Research Institute). In the years 2020 to 2022, she held the role of Director in the Supply Chain Cyber and Information Security team at UBS. She was the initiator and Programme Director of the European Cybersecurity Forum – CYBERSEC from 2014 to 2019. In addition, she worked as an Assistant Professor at AGH University of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2020 and cooperated with the Kosciuszko Institute as the Senior Cybersecurity Expert from 2009 to 2019. As a recognized cybersecurity expert and speaker, she has been involved in numerous national and international initiatives at the intersection of new technologies and public policies. Among others, she was a member of the Advisory Group for Cybersecurity of the Republic of Poland working within the Polish Presidential National Bureau of Security (2016-2017). She was listed among the 100 Eastern Europe’s emerging technology stars by the Financial Times & New Europe 100 for 2017, as well as inserted among the Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity by the Women in Tech Summit for 2019. She is a proud godmother of the regimental colours of the Regional Computing Center Kraków.

As Chief Security Officer and CISO for the Europe division of Orange, François oversees multi-country security governance and security programs in digital sales, business intelligence, IT and Network (ITN) transformations driven by cloud technologies and AI. To anticipate security requirements on architecture design and on operational models, Francois actively watches standardization and certification works in the context of EU regulation of cybersecurity. Francois is member of various associations promoting European values in cybersecurity including the Agency for Digital Sovereignty, the HCFRN, the EBIOS Club, the CESIN, AFNOR. Francois sits as France National Standardization Commission mirroring ISO/IEC SC 27 and CEN CENELEC JTC 13, and a guest lecturer at University of Limoges, Telcom Paris and UPEC.
