Didzis Balodis is the Head of IT Security and Infrastructure department of DPA. He has a 15 years’ experience in field of IT management and security and great work experience in realizing advanced security and infrastructure projects for Enterprise and Government sector in Latvia, Belarus and Georgia. His experience ranges from system support and implementation to large system development. In the recent years his focus was set to Information security. He is qualified technical professional owning such a certifications as CISSP and GPEN and have been a speaker in various conferences in Latvia and abroad.
Allart Bastiaans is currently working for DICTU (Ministry of Economic Affairs) as Enterprise Architect Infrastructure: He has 46 year of experience in ICT covering many areas including ICT Infrastructure and Information Security. He has worked for: The Center of African Studies, The University Hospital Leyden, Shell, CMG, TNO and now for DICTU. I also participat(ed) in standardization activities for ISO OSI, Industrial Networking and Wireless Industrial Networks. One of the major challenges now is to implement a Government Cloud environment for multiple tenants complying to the guidelines and standards for information security for government organizations.
Tjabbe Bos works at the European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology (DG CONNECT). He works as a policy officer at the unit responsible for Software, Services and Cloud Computing on the implementation of the September 2012 Cloud Computing Communication (COM(2012) 529) and is particularly involved with aspects of cloud security and certification. He holds a master's degree in Information Management and Public International Law and is experienced as a policy officer on both technical and legal aspects of information policy. Before he joined the European Commission in 2013 he worked as a policy advisor at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands on information policy for the public sector, such as related to innovation management, open data and data protection.
Daniele Catteddu is the Managing Director, EMEA, at Cloud Security Alliance as well as the Co-Founder and Director of the CSA Open Certification Framework / STAR Program. In CSA, Daniele leads definition and implementation of the CSA research agenda in Europe and manages the relations with European public institutions. In past he worked at ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency), as Expert in areas of Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP) and Emerging and Future Risks Management. He is member of various national and international security expert groups on cyber-security security and privacy. He graduated from the University of Parma (Italy) in Business Administration and Economics and is the author of various studies, report and papers on information security, including: “ENISA Cloud Computing: Benefits, risks and recommendations for information security” and “ENISA Cloud Computing: Information Assurance Framework”.
Gavin Fitzpatrick has been working in Amazon Web Services for 3 years and is currently working in Security Assurance focused on EMEA. Gavin has 15 years of experience working in Information Technology with a strong focus on Security, Virtualization and Cloud Computing. Of these 15 years Gavin spent 5 years working for the Irish Government. He obtained his MSc (2011) in Security & Forensics Computing at Dublin City University (DCU).
Chris Gow is Cisco’s lead for data protection and European security policy in Government Affairs. He joined Cisco in early 2008 and alongside privacy and security, plays an active role in the Government Affairs team on spectrum, cloud, trade and tech policy. He is currently the Chair of DIGITAL EUROPE’s Privacy and Security Group and Vice-Chair of the Digital Economy Policy Group. DIGITAL EUROPE is the main European industry association for tech manufacturers in Brussels. Prior to Cisco, he was responsible for campaign strategies and digital economy policy work at EICTA (now DIGITAL EUROPE). Chris first joined the Brussels scene in 2003 as an Assistant to a Member of the European Parliament, working on internal market and legal affairs issues. Chris studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.
Kuan Hon, MA (Cantab), LLM (UPenn), MSc (Imperial), LLM (Queen Mary), is research consultant to the Cloud Legal Project and Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre (a collaboration with the University of Cambridge Computer Lab) at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she is undertaking a joint law and computer science PhD. She is also a lawyer with Pinsent Masons, the law firm behind technology-focused thought leadership site Out-Law. A Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and a (non-practising) New York Attorney, Kuan worked as a finance/insolvency lawyer for English and US law firms in the City of London before completing a Computing Science MSc and moving into technology law, particularly data protection law and legal issues in cloud computing.Her articles on cloud computing, with co-authors, have been published by the IEEE 7th International Conference on Cloud Computing, Information, Communication & Society journal, Journal of International Data Privacy Law, SCRIPT-ed, Society for Computers and Law and Stanford Technology Law Review. She is a member of the Society for Computers & Law’s Media Board.
Uldis Ķinis was born on June 11, 1953. In 1981, Mr. Ķinis graduated the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia. After he had, in 1997, obtained the master’s degree in Law he continued his studies in doctoral programme at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia. In 2006, Mr. Ķinis was conferred the doctoral degree in Law on subject: “Crimes against information system security (Cybercrimes). He is leading national expert on cybercrime. In such capacity he participated in drafting all necessary statutory regulations related with implementation of Cybercrime convention. He has more than 35 publications related with cybercrimes and constitutional law.
Mikk Lellsar is working for Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications in Department of State Information Systems as an executive officer. I am responsible for developing and executing the Government cloud and Data Embassy concept. As Estonian society is very dependant from IT then cloud computing is essential and we are running several pilots to test cloud solutions. Previously I have managed and participated in various governmental projects which are driven by innovation, such as e-residency project and developing Estonian defence industry. I have graduated MSc in Electrical Power engineering in Tallinn University of Technology.
Ville Lindfors currently serves as the Lead of the Security Cloud team at F-Secure Labs. The range of tasks he handles include building technologies, systems and teams that solve real life business problems to protect customers from targeted threats. He also develops F-Secure Labs’ automation systems and processes. He is passionate about creating new opportunities by removing technical limitations, and spends a lot of his time tracking the techniques and understanding the motives of different attacker groups. He accumulated over 10 years of experience working with Internet solutions for enterprises, businesses, mobile, and media domains before starting at F-Secure Labs. His expertise includes developing Internet scale solutions for enterprises. Ville Lindfors studied computing at Helsinki University.
Silvana Muscella, CEO & founder of Trust-IT Services deals with high-level strategy building, business acquisition, coordination and strategic marketing and communication developments in ICT. Playing an instrumental role in connecting stakeholders around standardisation (namely, IEEE, ETSI, OGF, SNIA, DMTF, OASIS, ITU-T) initiatives and relations with NIST. Served as the coordinator of OGF-Europe, SIENA initiative & co-author of the SIENA Roadmap. Contributed to the EC’s Cloud Expert Group Roadmap on future research priorities & the ETSI Cloud Standards Coordination & and the C-SIG on Service Level Agreements. Currently, Coordinator of CloudWATCH, the pan-European Cloud Observatory & SLA-READY –making SLAs readily usable in the EU Private sector. Member of the Green Grid. Member of the IEEE InterCloud Computing Initiative & ACM Professional Member. Served as an at-large director for the OGF. External Expert Evaluator for the European Commission since 2009. Founder of the Cloudscape workshop series since 2010 now self-sustainable.
Jan Neutze is Director of Cybersecurity Policy at Microsoft responsible for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In this role Jan works with policy and technical stakeholders on a range of cybersecurity issues, including security strategy and policy, cloud security, risk management, information assurance and critical infrastructure protection. In 2015, Jan was appointed by to the ENISA Permanent Stakeholders' Group (PSG) for the 2015-2017 term. Before taking on Microsoft's EMEA security portfolio, Jan worked in Microsoft's Trustworthy Computing (TwC) group at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA focusing on cybersecurity norms, national cybersecurity policy, cloud security as well as engaging with partners from government, international organizations, and academia. Jan came to Microsoft from the United Nations Headquarters where he served for three years in the policy planning staff of the UN Secretary-General and the Department of Political Affairs, leading a range of cybersecurity and counterterrorism projects. Prior to his work at the UN, Jan led a range of transatlantic security policy projects at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Atlantic Council of the United States. Jan holds a J.D. from the University of Muenster, Germany and an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Abhi Pandit is the Senior Director in the Risk Advisory and Assurance Services (RAAS) group at Adobe Systems. His focus at Adobe is on providing risk management, security compliance, audit & assurance services to Adobe’s Engineering, Information Technology, Finance and Sales organizations. Prior to joining Adobe, Abhi worked for a number of years providing advisory, compliance, product development and product management services in information security at several consulting firms including Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Services group. Abhi received his Master’s in AIS from Virginia Tech and is a CPA and CISA.
Nathaly Rey is a privacy and security lawyer with extensive experience on designing innovative strategies for regulatory compliance, awareness and best practices; and advising on regulatory approaches for ICT. She holds an LLM on IT & Telecom Law, and is a PhD candidate focused on Cloud Computing and Privacy. Before joining Google, Nathaly led the Spanish Association of Information Security (ISMS Forum) and worked as a Senior Associate, advising multinational corporations on a wide range of privacy and security issues, from global compliance programs, to audits, IT outsourcing, and cross border data flows. Certified Data Privacy Professional (CDPP) and Certified Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK). co- Founder and member of the Board of the Cloud Security Alliance -Spanish Chapter; she is regular lecturer at IE Law School and ICT arbiter at the European Association of Arbitration.
Tony Richards as a senior Cyber Security and Information Assurance professional with over 14+ years’ experience of risk management and consultancy in central government and high threat environments he has extensive experience as a UK CESG, Certified professional (CCP) and Listed Adviser (CLAS) as well as providing independent subject matter expertise to clients on topics such as: Cloud Security and, Composite Accreditation. During his career, Tony has led a variety of challenging projects, addressing most aspects within the Information Assurance arena and met the demands of many multinational and government clients. Tony has acted as the Head of Security for the UK governments G-Cloud and Digital Marketplace programs as well as a Security Advisor to the Office of the Government Chief Technical Officer, and has been instrumental in driving the recent change in approach to government cloud accreditation and Security.
Jonathan Sage is Government and Regulatory Affairs EU Executive at IBM and EMEA lead at IBM on cyber security and cloud computing policy. His specialties include Open source strategy, intellectual property reform, open standards, internal communications, marketing and knowledge management.
Pierangela Samarati is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Universita` degli Studi di Milano. Her main research interests are on data security and privacy, information system security, and information protection in general. She is the Coordinator of the ESCUDO-CLOUD European Project (H2020). She is the chair of the IEEE Systems Council Technical Committee on Security and Privacy in Complex Information Systems (TCSPCIS), of the ERCIM Security and Trust Management Working Group (STM), of the Steering Committees of the European Symposium on Research in Computer Security (ESORICS) and of the ACM Workshop on Privacy in the Electronic Society (WPES). She is the Coordinator of the Working Group on Security of the Italian Association for Information Processing(AICA), the Italian representative in the IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) Technical Committee 11 (TC-11) on "Security and Privacy". She is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Conference on Information Systems Security (ICISS), and of the International Conference on Information and Communications Security (ICICS).
Linda Strick is since 1987 with the Fraunhofer-Institute FOKUS in Berlin Germany. She works in the application domain of Innovation and Technology Transfer with a long-time experience in the area of eGovernment. Her main areas of work are: Cloud Computing, distributed systems, telecommunications, Service Oriented Architectures, Security and Privacy, Cloud Certification and pre-commercial procurement of Cloud servies. She has been working with national and international projects, in standardization organizations and published several papers, amongst other Cloud Computing for the public sector (2010). Since June 2013 she is coordinator of the Cloud for Europe project funded by the European Commission under its 7th Framework Programme.Andreas Weiss is Director of the cloud association EuroCloud Deutschland_eco e.V. since its foundation and Managing Director of EuroCloud Europe. He played a key role in developing the EuroCloud Star Audit (ECSA) as the first cloud-specific auditing process and is acting in various EU projects for SMEs like CloudingSMEs and Cloud Catalyst as well as in national research projects like NGCert (Next Generation Certification) for trusted cloud services. He is the co-author of both the book “Cloud Migration”, dealing with issues of quality requirements and selection criteria, as well as the EuroCloud Guidelines "Cloud Computing – Law, Data Protection & Compliance” and Cloud Acceptance Study.
