Since 2014, ENISA, with its partners, conducts a wide spectrum of studies related to privacy and data protection by design. One of the main outcomes of these studies is a comprehensive methodology for Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) maturity assessment. In this study, the authors have identified that development of ICT tools that support the PET assessment process (referred to as (PETs) assessment tool) by gathering information on indicators and guide experts and the assessor through the assessment process, is essential for the creation of a functioning community of contributors. In 2016 a prototype of such an online PETs maturity assessment tool was presented to the public. This prototype will undergo a test phase. For this test phase ENISA will contract support services, more specifically technical support for the maintenance and extension of ENISA’s PETs maturity assessment tool.
