On the 3rd and 4th of June 2019, ENISA organized in Athens, Greece, a conference on Artificial Intelligence in the EU cyber crisis blueprint context under the title ‘ Artificial Intelligence-An opportunity for the EU cyber-crisis management’.

On 15 February 2021, ENISA and CERT-EU signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance collaboration and better fulfil their respective mandates.
The cooperation between ENISA and CERT-EU covers those activities that are necessary to assist Member States and EU Institutions, Bodies and Agencies in the areas of capacity building, operational cooperation, knowledge and information.
On the basis of an Annual Cooperation Plan (ACP), a structured cooperation is implemented which describes joint activities and projects and their requirements for implementation, in line with the provisions of the work programme of each party. ENISA and CERT-EU signed a memorandum of understanding on 15 February 2021 with the aim of better fulfilling their respective mandates and support each other’s work to achieve a higher degree of efficiency.
CERT-EU acts as a cybersecurity information exchange and incident response coordination point for all European Union Institutions, Bodies and Agencies. It gathers information on threats, vulnerabilities and incidents in order to alert its constituents when necessary. In addition, should cyber incidents occur, CERT-EU is responsible for coordinating the response across the entire constituency.
ENISA supports operational cooperation and is mandated to ensure that an effective framework for cooperation is in place in the EU in preparation for large-scale cross-border cyber-attacks and crises. The Agency also responds to ad-hoc requests for assistance from Member States and provides information and analysis to support policy-makers to ensure that cybersecurity is embedded across all domains of EU policy. The work of the Agency also entails helping and guiding Member States to implement relevant legislation. It is expected to provide strategic foresight and intelligence on cyberthreats. The Agency contributes to situational awareness and shares information and knowledge with relevant stakeholders and investigates solutions to boost the efficiency of cyber responses in critical industries across Europe.
